Análise e recuperação por Microrrevestimento Asfáltico a Frio (MRAF) na rodovia BR-232/PE, trecho: km 13,54 a 27,56
Abstract
This study analyzed the road rehabilitation applied to the BR-232/PE highway, located between the cities of Jaboatão dos Guararapes/PE and Moreno/PE. All pathologies identified in the pavement were confirmed after a rigorous survey recorded by the Department of Highways (DER/PE). Based on this information, the agency defined the pavement rehabilitation, carrying out the services in the year 2023. The technical approach used by DER/PE included procedures such as discontinuous milling in segments with slippage and points with plastic deformation, recomposition of the milled segments, minor repairs and application of asphalt microsurfacing. Asphalt microsurfacing is a treatment that involves the application of an asphalt mixture, aggregates, polymers and additives directly on the surface of the existing pavement. Its benefits include sealing and preventing cracks, improving adhesion and rejuvenating the pavement. The present study aimed to carry out a careful evaluation of the solution adopted in relation to the defects previously identified, making a detailed comparison between this approach and possible alternatives aimed at mitigating the problems detected. The evaluation of the compatibility between the technical approach implemented and the types of pre-existing defects was conducted through a survey of the current conditions, seeking to identify recurrences of the problems. The results obtained revealed that the adopted approach is adequate and presents a more economically favorable aspect in comparison with other solutions previously identified.
